Lifting the lid

I’ve noticed two or three of these pan mixers, as I believe they’re called, dotted around the town centre; always with this web-like lid lifted up and always standing idle.

    From this perspective, the object looks like some antiquated receiver. An interesting one.

    I have no idea what it would be used for but it does make a great monochrome shot.
